Labour Industry Trends Romania 2020
I will start first with some data I got from Eurostat. There is some very interesting information there about European countries. Here you can see three different tables with data, and it shows the changes between the two consecutive months in percentages.
You can see the downfall in 2020M03 (March) and 2020M04 (April) and the rise in 2020M05 and 2020M06. Now you can look at the graphs to see the reflection of these developments on the number of vacancies that are uploaded in Romania in the past months.

Job Market Trends Romania 2020
Romanian vacancies on job boards in March 2020
In March there is a severe trend going downwards. On March 9th there were still uploaded 679 vacancies, and I will compare this number to Monday, March 30th, with 208 jobs.
Romanian vacancies on job boards in April 2020
In Romania, the low trend was stable in the first half of the month. The graph has dip every week, the weekends, and the third dip is as large as four days because the Romanians were free for Orthodox Good Friday and Orthodox Easter Monday. On April 1st, there were uploaded 159 vacancies, and I will compare this number to the weeks’ Monday, April 28th, with 394 vacancies. It seems like the Romanian job market was recovering, but I can not say what the reason is behind that. Maybe they just had to upload more vacancies at once because of the two holidays.
Romanian vacancies on job boards in May 2020
Yes! In May the number of uploaded jobs started increasing! In April, I thought the increase was temporary, but the number of jobs increased from 159 (April 1st) to around 500 vacancies per day, and there was a peak if 1000 vacancies on the 15th. So, if companies decide to place a vacancy, that must mean they are confident they can pay salaries for these people now and in the future. Great news!

Romanian vacancies on job boards in August 2020
In August the number of uploaded vacancies kept decreasing, until the last week the trend increased a little bit. The decrease went as far down as 420 vacancies on the 15th of August and it got back up to 600 on the 25th. To result again into a decrease to 520 on the 29th of August. Still much higher than at the beginning of COVID-19, with the lowest point of 200 vacancies uploaded per day! And if you’re asking what the dip is from 15 till 19th of August, that is
